Job Title : Cardiac Cath Tech

Description :

Cardiac Cath Tech position available.

Facility has 874 licensed beds.

It is a Level I trauma teaching hospital.

The facility is a Chest Pain Center and a Stroke Center.

The unit has 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms.

The position requires at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience.

First-time travelers are welcome.

Common diagnoses include cardiac cases such as NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitral Clip.

Vascular cases mostly involve lower extremity angiograms and EVAR and TEVAR cases.

The patient ratio for the Cardiac Cath Tech is 1 : 1.

Required skills include Cath Lab experience and vascular experience, especially with endografts.

Experience in interventional radiology or working with vascular surgeons is preferred.

Charting will be done in the electronic medical record system.

Pre / post documentation and management of pressors are responsibilities of the RN.

The department is supported by a traffic flow coordinator, staffing, and emergency teams.

There is no floating between units.

Technological equipment includes EMR, hemodynamic monitors, IV pumps, and various X-ray equipment.

A scheduling cycle occurs every 4 weeks.

Travelers may cover each other's requests for time off.

Travelers are expected to work at least one holiday during their contract.

Scrub colors are green and provided by the facility.

The unit culture is described as great.
