Role Overview :
This role supports process improvement and quality assurance for engine block manufacturing. The position focuses on data-driven problem solving, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support manufacturing processes through data collection, analysis, and visualization.
- Identify and resolve casting defects using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Drive process improvements and support process changes.
- Maintain and update process documentation (e.g., PFMEA, SFMEA).
- Collaborate daily with manufacturing engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Balance hands-on floor work (50%) with desk-based analysis and documentation (50%).
Team & Work Environment :
Collaborative team supporting engine block value streams across multiple manufacturing lines (e.g., block machining, pouring / shakeout).Work environment combines office and factory floor settings.Daily interaction with a team of manufacturing engineers and support staff.Candidate Requirements :
Experience & Education :
1–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or quality engineering.Degree not mandatory; internships are considered valid experience.Top Skills :
Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving.Process data analysis and continuous improvement.Technical drawing / model interpretation (Creo, NX, AutoCAD).Technical Tools :
Required : Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.Preferred : NX or Creo 3D CAD software, Lean manufacturing knowledge.
