Job descriptionOur partnerships with top-tier retailers provide a source of hassle-free, no-cost quality leads. Access client & sales information anytime, anywhere. Ability to quote prices in the client’s home, enter & track orders, and access product installation schedules. Our client services satisfaction team fully supports you so you can spend your time selling. Direct access to dedicated sales support team members. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent active listening skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills. Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold (training is provided). Ability to anticipate customer's needs through following an industry-proven sales process. Ability to recommend products to customers to meet their specific in-home design needs. Willingness to learn and participate in professional training & development opportunities to increase your sales performance. Previous sales experience required. In-home sales experience preferred. Periods of standing and walking throughout the in-home and retail spaces. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times (window treatment samples).

Custom Decorators, a division of Hunter Douglas, is the premier in-home design and installation service for major retailers and brands in North America, specializing in custom-made window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery. Our professional design and installation team provides customers with expert guidance, premium products, professional installation, and exceptional customer service across the United States and Canada. We manage all aspects of our customers' projects from the creative concept through the ordering process and installation. For over 25 years, our innovation, expertise, and premier product offerings have provided ideal shop-at-home solutions and a tailored in-home shopping experience.
Who We’re Looking For
Custom Decorators has immediate opportunities for experienced design & sales professionals to partner with us as in-home custom window treatment Designers. This includes interior blinds, shades, shutters, drapery & outdoor roller shades.
Successful Designers that work for our company come from the following backgrounds :
- Interior design, window treatment sales, flooring sales, closet design, kitchen & bath remodels, and other home-investment & remodeling services.
- Graduates with degrees in design or related fields.
- Independent design company owners who are looking to expand their business.
- Experienced salespersons who have a passion for selling in the home.
