Eligibility Requirements :

Key Responsibilities :

Hospital Corpsmen (HM) play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals in delivering medical care to Navy personnel and their families. Your tasks may include :

• Performing emergency medical treatment for military personnel injured in various settings, whether in the field or aboard ships and aircraft.
• Providing emergency dental care, including constructing dental crowns and bridges, processing dental X-rays, and operating X-ray equipment.
• Serving as an operating room technician during both general and specialized surgeries.
• Administering a comprehensive range of preventive care and medications such as immunizations and intravenous fluids.
• Conducting physical examinations and assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries.
• Maintaining patient treatment records, conducting research, and performing clinical tests.
• Supporting Navy Physicians and Nurses across various medical fields including radiology, physical therapy, dental care, surgery, family medicine, pathology, women's health, and more.

Work Environment :

As a Hospital Corpsman, you will experience the most diverse range of work environments in the Navy. Your role may take you all around the globe and challenge your comfort zone. Assignments could include Navy medical treatment facilities like on-base hospitals or clinics, or even service aboard an aircraft carrier or submarine.

Part-Time Opportunities :

As a Navy Reserve Sailor, you will fulfill your duties during scheduled drilling and training periods. Typically, Hospital Corpsmen in the Navy Reserve work at locations that are convenient to their homes during monthly drills.
