Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based radiology department with 4 imaging rooms, including 3 general X-ray and 1 fluoroscopy room Handles adult and pediatric patient populations with approximately 110 imaging studies per day Perform general X-ray, portable, OR cases (cystos, ortho, GI), and fluoroscopy studies (ortho & GI) Floats between general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR as needed Shift schedule includes 4x10s with day and afternoon rotations, every other weekend required Possible overnight shift as sole technologist in the department Uses Cerner Soarian EMR and Intellirad / Intelliconnect PACS Department uses C-arms (OEC), GE AMX portables with DR-Konica, and diagnostic rooms equipped with Del Medical, Siemens, and Philips equipment Duties include conducting general X-ray, portable, OR, and fluoro procedures across various shifts First-time travelers are accepted for this position Onboarding includes 5 shifts of orientation with a preceptor Staffing includes 6-7 technologists during days, 3-4 on evenings, and 1 on midnights Radiologist is in-house until 5pm and on call overnight with vRad covering interpretations between 2am-6am May wear any color scrubs as long as attire is clean and professional; matching staff color (emerald green) is optional May be required to participate in holiday rotation Candidates with prior WVU Medicine employment must have a two-year break before reapplying Travelers cannot work within WVU facilities longer than one consecutive year without a two-year break Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist Current ARRT certification and BLS required West Virginia X-ray license required if applicable Must be able to perform general X-ray, portable, OR, and fluoroscopy studies Experience with Cerner Soarian EMR and PACS preferred Compliance with a 50-mile radius rule; local travelers not accepted A copy of an unexpired driver's license must be provided for consideration WV CARES background check required prior to start Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-633696.
