GENERAL SUMMARY :

This position is at our Gynecologic Oncology Clinic at Porter, CO

Salary Range $149,563 - $164,194

Provides education and support for patients and staff involved in the care of patients. Demonstrates a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach in directing efforts toward the attainment of desired patient outcomes in a cost-effective manner in area of specialty. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. Expedite and coordinate patient evaluation and care.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• 75% inpatient rounding / OR support (surgical assist certified strongly preferred) / 25% clinic support (postop eval and pre-chemo toxicity and clearance)
• Performs triage of patients on the floor, in ER, or calling from home and helps to coordinate appropriate response and attending / on-call physician involvement
• Prescribes pharmacologic agents and nonpharmacological therapies according to standard protocol
• Provides symptom management for side effects related to oncologic treatment and surgery.
• Provides consultation to nursing, medical, case management and ancillary departments as requested for inpatients and outpatients
• Optimizes preop workflows and ensures patients prepared for surgery
• Coordinates with attending physicians to communicate results to patients (radiographic, laboratory, and pathologic) in a timely manner as well as coordinating requisite follow up as needed
