As the Assistant Materials Manager, you will oversee Buying and Planning operations while driving continuous improvement and ensuring cross-functional coordination to delight our customers, all while earning a competitive base salary and full benefit offerings make for a well-rounded total package for the right individual. This position reports to the Materials Manager. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following :

• Oversee facility Buying, Planning, and Scheduling Functions in our effort to support our customers as a world-class facility.
• Ensure seamless communication and feedback with our sales team and other functional groups.
• Teach and train functional team in competencies and technical / functional skills
• Root cause problem solving to drive process improvement
• Manage daily operations to ensure the efficient operations of the Buying, Planning, and Scheduling Functions including development of SOP's
• Ensure accurate and timely development of schedules for all shop floor processes.
• Develop and update metrics to communicate health and challenges of Buying, Planning, and Scheduling group.
• Provide recommendations to other functional groups to help facility drive towards excellence.
