o Not Trauma designated trauma patients transferred to CMC Main after stabilization
o Not a Teaching hospital
o Radius rule : Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
o Beds : 34 beds / 32 vertical care areas
o Minimum Years of Experience required : 2 years ED RN experience
o Will you accept a first-time traveler : not preferred, will consider
o This ED sees on average 200+ patients per day very busy, fast paced, acute unit
o All ages
o Heavy trauma stabilization - GSW, stabbings; Heavy mental health / homeless / drug and ETOH addicted population
o All typical ED diagnoses Stroke, Respiratory illness, chest pain, abdominal pain, DM / DKA, etc.
o RN : Variable but typically 1 : 4
o LPN : Variable but typically 1 : 4
o CNA : 1 : 20
o BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (required)
o TNCC (preferred)
o To care for adult and pediatric patients experiencing medical emergencies
o General ED Skillset to include but not limited to - Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK / TPA administration, conscious sedation
o CNA
o Receptionist
o Charge nurse
o EMR : EPIC
o IV Pump : Alaris
o Med dispensing : Omnicell
o Monitors : Phillips
o Will be required to float per region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable
o Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any Freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)
o If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
o NEO
o 2 days departmental
o Weekend rotation : every other
o No call required
o Holiday Expectations : Travelers will work 75% of holidays
o RTO : Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
o Shift times : varies shift will be on requisition
o Schedule cycle : 6 weeks
o Scrub Color : Navy
