Join our team as a part-time Prevention Educator and bring vital lessons on substance use and healthy decision-making into classrooms. Help equip the next generation with knowledge and skills that last a lifetime.

Must possess experience working with middle and high school students to be considered and have teaching experience.

Some travel within the 7-county coverage area is required. Average of about 16 hours per week, possibly more.

Pay is $30 per presentation with paid training, meetings, and mileage reimbursement. Schedule is based on a school calendar, rarely evenings or weekend unless you are asked to cover a special event.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide prevention programming for students, teachers, parents and / or community members.
• Participate as a team member in the coordination and implementation of prevention programming.
• Part-time Prevention Educator I team members are responsible for a workload of 5-6 presentations per day or other goal set mutually with supervisor.
• Establish and maintain relationships with school contacts, exhibiting flexibility, a positive attitude, and problem-solving skills when challenges arise.
• Document all aspects of the job in compliance with agency, contractual, and funding requirements.
• Perform all other related work as assigned.
