POSITION SUMMARY : The primary purpose of the Cocktail Server is to provide friendly, attentive and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests. Each Cocktail Server’s primary objective is to show our guests’ quality service delivered with a smile each and every interaction so that they will want to become a repeat customer.

- Greets guests in a friendly, timely manner and requests primary beverage order
- Initiates conversation with guests, inquiring about their satisfaction with their experience at our hotel
- Prepare garnishes for drinks
- Expedites drink orders for each guest quickly and accurately.
- Maintains a guest focus while performing all duties
Other Specific Job Functions :
Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guest’s experienceKnowledgeable with all types of liquors and beers and their respective recipes, non-alcoholic beverages, and garnishesTakes beverage orders from guestsCommunicate orders into system through Bartender ensuring transmission is verifiedAbility to provide complimentary cocktails to gaming customers based on company gaming standards.Transports glasses back to bar for washing and disposes of trash in designated receptacles.Adheres to all responsible alcohol serving requirements as dictated by the state; request identification from guest ordering alcohol when legal age is questionableComplete opening side duties fold / stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficienciesAnticipates guest needs, when possibleCommunicates with servers and managers regarding guest requests.Performs all other job related duties as assigned.Other related duties as necessaryRESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT
Recognize and acknowledge when Guests are becoming intoxicated and / or are intoxicatedMonitor potentially intoxicated and / or disruptive Guests and promptly bring to a Manager’s attentionRefuse further service of alcohol to intoxicated Guests in a courteous and safety-minded mannerResponsible for accurately checking Guest identificationComply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and / or departmental policies / proceduresComply with all state and federal liquor lawsThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Required :
Must be 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentOne year previous high volume cocktail experienceMinimum of one-year customer service experience in a previous position, where the primary job duty is direct customer serviceAbility to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.Must possess excellent customer service and communication skillsA highly motivated and energetic personalityMust be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.Must present a professional and pleasant appearance that guests will find appealing and approachable in order to engage in conversationMust be able to work any day of the week and scheduled shiftMust be able to get along with co-workers and work as a teamMust possess basic math skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude.Ability to handle cash and accurately make change.Preferred :
