Job description

Network Administrator II (WAN)

Clearance : Secret Shifts : 3pm-11pm & 7am-3pm $72,000-$74,000 Certifications : CompTIA Security+, CCNA

Responsibilities :

Analyze and simulate network traffic to aid in problem resolution or test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments.
Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth, reporting anomalies to Government team leads.
Elevate complex network issues to Senior Network Administrators.
Develop, execute, modify, or remove scripts to automate tasks.
Review and document workload activities per incident or change request to eliminate re-work or auditing / investigation purposes.

Qualifications :

3+ years of experience in network administration and support. HS diploma or GED required. Security+ and CCNA certifications necessary. Experience with routers, serial consoles, load balancers, switches, relevant server-side tools, and technologies. Familiarity with network monitoring and management using automated solutions. Extensive security knowledge regarding network architecture, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Excellent customer service and communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
