What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

We're seeking an exceptional Global Head of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) to lead our world-class finance team, driving strategy and business insight across Canva as we continue our hypergrowth journey. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be a strategic partner, providing critical insights and guidance to the executive leadership team and driving financial performance across the organization. You will collaborate with the wider leadership team (e.g., GTM, Marketing, Growth, People, Product, Technology) to help fuel Canva’s growth and ensure financial excellence. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance, with a proven track record of success in both private and public companies.

At the moment, the role is focused on :

• Lead and inspire : Manage and mentor a high-performing global FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Strategic financial planning : Develop and oversee the annual budget, long-range financial plans, and forecasting processes, aligning financial strategy with Canva's ambitious growth objectives.
• Financial management : Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze financial results, and provide insightful reporting and analysis to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Business partnering : Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales) to provide financial expertise and support strategic decision-making.
• Investment analysis : Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives, providing rigorous financial modeling and recommendations.
• Drive efficiency : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
• Executive communication : Prepare and present clear, concise financial reports and presentations to the executive team and the Board of Directors.
• Systems and tools : Scale financial systems and processes with a focus on automation and AI-driven insights.

At Canva, we value fairness, and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation whilst ensuring internal equity within the team in each region. We make hiring decisions based on your skills, experience, and our overall assessment of what we observed and learned in the hiring process. The salary range for this position is $271,000 to $361,000. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates' skills and experience.

The structure of total compensation may vary based on location to align with local regulations, standards, and practices. (Example : Based in Sydney, Australia).
