Coast Range Restaurant is seeking a dynamic, experienced General Manager to lead our restaurant and uphold the standard of excellence that has made us a Central Coast culinary landmark.
As GM, you’ll be the driving force behind a team that delivers top-tier hospitality and executes with precision in a high-volume, high-expectation environment. You’ll set the tone, shape the culture, and ensure every service reflects the quality and warmth Coast Range is known for.
What You’ll Do :
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar
- Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing front-of-house team
Manage scheduling, labor costs, and floor coverage with efficiency, for the entire restaurant
Collaborate with Ownership, Executive Chef Steven Fretz, Finance, and bar team to execute goals, including service, culinary, budgetaryResolve guest issues with professionalism, urgency, and a hospitality-first mindsetMaintain a sharp eye on cleanliness, organization, and compliance (ABC, Health Dept., OSHA)Monitor and report on financials, including daily sales, cost control, inventory and P&L performanceParticipate in HR protocols, leadership training and employee managementUphold and evolve the guest experience — from the greeting to the last pourWho You Are :
A seasoned hospitality leader with at least two years of GM or AGM experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurantSomeone who leads from the floor, not the office — hands-on, visible, respectedA confident decision-maker who can stay calm under pressure and inspire the same in othersExperienced in POS systems, inventory control, scheduling, and financial reportingPassionate about great food, premium cocktails, wine, and exceptional serviceComfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic environmentKnowledge of wine, including new world and old world, and local wineries, preferredExperience in bartending and cocktail design, preferredRequirements :
Proven leadership experience in restaurant managementStrong knowledge of California labor laws, food safety, and ABC regulationsFood Handler’s Certificate and Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) certificationsExcellent communication and conflict resolution skillsBackground checkAbility to commute or relocate to Solvang, CAJob Type : Full-time
Salary : Competitive salary based on experience + bonus potential. $85,000 to $105,000.
