Job Summary : Supports high-value strategic sourcing initiatives across clinical and non-clinical categories. Delivers data-driven insights through data analysis and Power BI dashboards to identify cost savings opportunities, measure contract compliance, and influence purchasing behavior.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements :

  • Supports complex strategic supply chain RFPs in contracting categories valued over $5M through in-depth analysis of proposed supplier scenarios to determine opportunities that present savings and value to the system.
  • Presents analyzed savings opportunities to various audiences including Sourcing Managers, Supply Chain Executive Leadership, and SSM Health physicians and clinicians participating in various solution groups.
  • Supports strategic implementation of initiatives by developing compliance dashboards in Power BI to track compliance status of contractual obligations. Communicates results on a regular basis to solution groups.
  • Develops ad-hoc Power BI dashboards to drive purchasing behavior changes with suppliers or specific products that drive unnecessary costs up.
  • Utilizes procedural data (via EPIC) to determine trends in supply cost per case. Communicates findings to support behavioral changes that result in significant savings opportunities across the system.
  • Collects and maintains a dashboard utilizing Sunshine Act Data from CMS to reveal and inform the department of complex financial relationships between suppliers and physicians.
  • Optimizes internal and external data feeds and data sources by collaborating with IHT, BI&A, and EPIC teams. Utilizing multiple data platforms (SQL server, Data Bricks, SAP, PowerBI, etc.) to extract meaningful and accurate information.
  • Supports overall analyst team growth and development by sharing analytical expertise and serving as a mentor to other analysts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education : Bachelor's degree

Experience : Five years' experience

Physical Requirements :

  • Frequent lifting / carrying and pushing / pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot / leg and hand / arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use / data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting / carrying and pushing / pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
