Project Manager Private Equity Systems
Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with deep experience leading technology and operations projects in the private equity and alternative investments space. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with private equity software platforms such as eFront, Allvue, Investran, or similar fund accounting, portfolio monitoring, and investor reporting systems. This individual will oversee system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives and drive efficiency across the firm.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles for private equity software initiatives, including system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations with downstream / upstream platforms.
- Partner with stakeholders across fund accounting, operations, investor relations, technology, and compliance to define project requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Lead vendor engagement and coordinate with third-party software providers (eFront, Allvue, Investran, etc.) to align on deliverables, testing, and deployment activities.
- Oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing), training, and change management to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
- Monitor and report on project risks, issues, and dependencies while driving resolution and escalating when necessary.
- Act as a subject matter liaison between technology teams and business users, ensuring clear communication, documentation, and alignment throughout the project.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by leveraging private equity technology to optimize fund accounting, investor reporting, portfolio monitoring, and compliance workflows.
Qualifications :
8+ years of project management experience, with a strong track record in private equity or alternative investments.Proven experience implementing or upgrading private equity software platforms such as eFront, Allvue, or Investran.Solid understanding of private equity operations, including fund accounting, investor reporting, capital calls / distributions, and performance measurement.Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or Smartsheet.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred.Preferred :
Exposure to data integration tools, reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS), or SQL / database concepts.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, global financial services environment
