Transportation Specialist

As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing a world-class logistics strategy and design, ensuring that freight is delivered swiftly, accurately, and cost-effectively. Your responsibilities will include high-level strategy development and implementation, with a strong focus on problem-solving, mathematics, communication, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities :
- Identify and resolve performance score discrepancies for the Transportation Services network carrier base.
- Partner with various teams to drive process improvements, enhance service quality, and boost carrier performance and growth.
- Collaborate on the development and delivery of key programs, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to support business decisions across customer-facing programs.
- Extract and analyze data from numerous databases using tools such as Excel, QuickSight, Hubble, SQL, and other data management systems.
Essential Skills :
1-3 years of experience in account management, transportation, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level, including pivot tables, charts, and data cleansing.Strong written communication skills.Problem-solving abilities.Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.Experience managing large data sets to drive performance and process improvements.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.1+ years of experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation.1+ years of management experience.Bachelor's degree (preferred).Experience demonstrating ownership, delivering results, and a bias for action.Work Environment :
This role requires working 100% onsite with a shift schedule from Wednesday-Saturday (4x10 schedule). The environment offers opportunities to learn and grow within the transportation teams, providing a great entry-level corporate role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
