Job description

Transportation Specialist

Join an innovative team within a pioneering transportation network that is redefining logistics processes. As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing a world-class logistics strategy and design, ensuring that freight is delivered swiftly, accurately, and cost-effectively. Your responsibilities will include high-level strategy development and implementation, with a strong focus on problem-solving, mathematics, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Identify and resolve performance score discrepancies for the Transportation Services network carrier base.
  • Partner with various teams to drive process improvements, enhance service quality, and boost carrier performance and growth.
  • Collaborate on the development and delivery of key programs, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to support business decisions across customer-facing programs.
  • Extract and analyze data from numerous databases using tools such as Excel, QuickSight, Hubble, SQL, and other data management systems.

Essential Skills :

  • 1-3 years of experience in account management, transportation, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level, including pivot tables, charts, and data cleansing.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience managing large data sets to drive performance and process improvements.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation.
  • 1+ years of management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Experience demonstrating ownership, delivering results, and a bias for action.

    • Work Environment :

    This role requires working 100% onsite with a shift schedule from Wednesday-Saturday (4x10 schedule). The environment offers opportunities to learn and grow within the transportation teams, providing a great entry-level corporate role.

    Job Type & Location :

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
