Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity? We invite you to explore a role that offers 16-hour shifts as a " Swingturnist ", with hours from 8 a.m. to midnight.

Job Summary

As an Urgent Care Advanced Practitioner , you will provide a wide range of clinical services, including :

  • Treating acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections.
  • Recognizing serious conditions and directing patients to emergency care when necessary.

    • ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care currently has 16 locations : 14 in Delaware and 2 in Maryland.

    Job Requirements

    Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants
  • Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners

    • Work Experience :

  • 1+ years of post-residency clinical experience required
  • Minimum 18 months experience in an applicable practice setting preferred
  • Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred

    • Licenses / Certifications :

  • National Certification
  • Active state medical licensure (MD / DE can be obtained)

    • Essential Functions

    As an Advanced Practitioner, your essential functions will include :

  • Examining and treating patients
  • Taking patients’ medical histories
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
  • Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
  • Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
  • Educating and counseling patients
  • Giving vaccinations and referring patients to additional care
  • All other duties as assigned

    • Compensation : A full-time Swingturnist receives premium pay, with an annual salary ranging from $139,616 - $171,924 before value incentive.
