The Senior Engineer position is based out of our Byron Clean Energy facility in Byron, IL.

The expected salary range is $144,900 to $161,000, depending on experience, alongside a robust benefits package including bonuses and 401(k) contributions.

Primary Purpose of Position

The Senior Engineer plays a crucial role in performing advanced engineering solutions that support nuclear plant operations. You will be responsible for making important technical decisions and will possess superior knowledge in your engineering discipline, ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Conduct advanced engineering and technical tasks that enhance nuclear plant operations.
• Perform independent research, reviews, and analyses to support technical projects.
• Provide expert technical consultation to ensure engineering activities align with plant safety, reliability, and compliance standards.
• Guarantee accuracy and timeliness of engineering work while adhering to design criteria and practices.
• Involve yourself in identifying and resolving equipment and system issues through technical expertise.
• Manage tasks related to engineering issues efficiently.
• Recommend innovative concepts and techniques to enhance performance, streamline processes, and uphold regulatory compliance.
• Support plant modifications, testing, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure that all engineering outputs meet safety analyses, industry codes, and regulations.
• Facilitate planning and coordination of supervisory activities, including personnel management and budget accountability.
• Perform additional job duties as assigned by management or as dictated by company policy, including emergency response and support during outages.
