JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Title : Nocturnist
  • Job Type : Permanent (Full-Time)
  • Location : Mountain Home, AR
  • Service Setting : Inpatient / Hospitalist Program
  • Clinical Shift Schedule : 7 on / 7 off (night shifts)
  • ICU : Open ICU with 24 / 7 Virtual ICU Coverage
  • Team Size : 9 Physicians, 4 Advanced Practice Providers, 2 Scribes

  • ICU : Open model with virtual ICU support
  • Collaboration : Strong working relationship with specialists and Emergency Medicine physicians
  • EMR System : Not specified

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline : TBD

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Arkansas medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certifications : Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with hospitalist experience
  • Experience : Prior nocturnist or hospitalist experience preferred
  • Other Qualifications :
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Comfort managing patients in an open ICU setting

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide inpatient nocturnal hospitalist coverage
  • Manage patient admissions, cross-cover issues, and collaborate with on-call specialists
  • Work closely with APPs and scribes during night shifts
  • Ensure continuity of care and accurate documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement and hospitalist team initiatives
