We are seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our design and project management team specializing in automatic fire sprinkler systems for commercial tenant improvement and new construction projects. The successful candidate will complete company-sponsored training programs and obtain industry certifications in fire sprinkler system design, hydraulic calculations, and relevant NFPA codes and standards. This position provides a clear pathway for career advancement within the design and project management discipline.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Coordinate with General Contractors and other subs to gather required information to design the project's sprinkler system.
  • Create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoCAD
  • Create material listings for projects
  • Perform Hydraulic Calculations
  • Work with other departments within the company to hand over proper job information
  • Maintain organized records, including but not limited to tracking of submittals, change orders, and permits.

Must have :

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commercial Fire Sprinkler Designer
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting functions
  • Experience with Bluebeam
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to perform hydraulic calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Strong communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
