Job description

Job Posting : Surgical Technologist (CST)

Location : OMC- Summit NJ 07901

Employment Type : Travel Contract

Assignment Length : 8 Weeks

Bill Rate : $55-65.00 / hr

Shift & Schedule

  • 3 days per week
  • Shift : 7 : 00 PM 8 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • 30-minute break
  • Saturdays required
  • Floating : Must be able to float to sister unit

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready.
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments maintaining sterile fields and anticipating needs.
  • Handle and care for surgical equipment tools and supplies.
  • Maintain compliance with all infection control and safety protocols.
  • Assist in room turnover and equipment restocking between cases.
  • Collaborate with surgeons RNs anesthesia staff and other team members to ensure safe and efficient surgical care.

    • Qualifications

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience - Required
  • Experience in multiple surgical specialties - Preferred
  • Ability to work night shifts and weekends
  • Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR safety standards
  • Must be able to float as needed
