Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered / Licensed Dental Hygienist based in the Twin Cities, Rochester, Fergus Falls, MN. The Registered / Licensed Dental Hygienist will perform routine and specialized dental procedures, including cleanings, dental prophylaxis, and treatment of periodontal disease. The role also involves providing patient education on oral health practices and assisting with treatment plans to ensure overall patient care. Collaboration with dentists and other team members is integral to delivering excellent care and contributing to the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Perform dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapies, including scaling & root planning
• Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal charting
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care practices
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (N2O) as certified
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Maintain accurate patient records in Open Dental and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Collaborate with dental providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and staff.
• Schedule patient appointments, ensuring clinic and provider schedules remain productive per scheduling guidelines.
• Answer and manage phone calls professionally and efficiently.
• Assist patients with special needs, ensuring a welcoming and accommodating experience.
• Utilize and / or learn computer systems such as Open Dental, Microsoft Office, and other necessary software.
