Job Title : Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Telemetry (Night Shift, 4x12s) Facility : Unity Hospital – Rochester Regional Health System, NY Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (4x12-Hour Shifts) Float Requirement : Yes – may float to ED boarders, ICU (stable), Med-Surg, and Acute Brain Injury units Charting : Epic (Preferred / Required) Job Description / Summary The Med-Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients with acute medical, cardiac, and post-surgical conditions. The RN will assess, plan, and implement patient care using evidence-based practices while ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Requirements Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg / Telemetry RN experience Certifications : BLS (Required); ACLS preferred Charting System : Epic (Required) Education : ASN or BSN in Nursing License : Active NY State RN license (in hand prior to submission) Other : Must be able to float between similar units; no local candidates within 75 miles Patient & Unit Details Unit : 2700 MS / Tele – 22 Beds Typical Ratios : Day / Evening : 5 : 1 (stretch 6–7 : 1) Nights : 6–7 : 1 (stretch 8–9 : 1) Common Diagnoses : Cardiac, pulmonary, pain management, GI issues, infections, unmanaged diabetes Equipment : Telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, EKG machines, Lifepaks Support Services : IV team, phlebotomy, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social work
