Job Title
Assist carpenters in construction projects, stud walls, hang drywall, demolition, installation of grid work, rile and acoustical ceilings.
Custom surface finishing, grouting, installation and setting of ceramic tile, stone and marble; repair / replacement of existing materials.
Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
Mix and apply paint at the rate of 2,000 square feet per eight-hour day on smooth or pre-finished walls / 1,200 square feet per eight-hour day on rough walls, including but not restricted to concrete or masonry block, rough plaster, acoustical tile and others of similar texture.
Perform all work following infection control procedures, including setting up appropriate level of infection control containment (ICRA) based on risk level and maintaining the integrity of that containment.
Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized.
Perform fire barrier preventive maintenance and maintain code knowledge base.
Perform minor repair jobs on walls, floor leveling and surface preparation / masonry repairs as needed before painting.
Record personal work orders and submit hours on a daily basis.
Refinish furniture, stain, lacquer, paint and polish.
High school diploma / GED is required. Minimum of three years full-time experience as a painter in industry, commercial or an institution OR what is required by local governing authority. Flooring and tile experience is preferred. May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed.
