Description :

The purpose of this unit profile is to provide an exceptional understanding of the unit.

The facility has 19 beds and employs 36 staff members.

Day shift consists of all RNs along with OB tech / CST.

Night shift is also entirely composed of RNs with OB tech / CST.

Patient ratios are acuity-based and comply with IDPH guidelines.

Equipment includes OBIX and EFM.

EMR system used is Epic.

Candidates should possess strong labor experience and knowledge of labor and antenatal patients.

Fetal monitor interpretation and performing vaginal exams are required skills.

Knowledge of OB medications is essential for this role.

C-section experience and familiarity with post-recovery and circulating duties are preferred.

Post-partum experience is a plus.

Outpatient fetal monitor testing experience is beneficial.

Candidates should be team players with strong communication skills.

The ability to remain calm in a busy environment is important.

The dress code includes scrubs, which are provided by the facility.

This is a newly built unit with a Level II designation that includes extended capabilities.

The unit is Baby-Friendly Certified and has received the Gold Safe Sleep certification.

Long-term experienced staff members contribute to a cohesive family environment.

The team is motivated and features progressive physicians.
