The responsibilities for a Register Nurse include the following :

• Identifies and documents patient information based on data collected through nursing assessments and information obtained through family and / or primary caregiver or guardian.
• Evaluates each resident's care and produces a nursing assessment and up-to-date nursing care plan.
• Develops measurable goals on the multi-disciplinary treatment plan that is mutually set with the treatment team and the resident.
• Assist patients through admission and discharge processes.
• Documents nursing intervention and resident response in progress notes.
• Provides general nursing care as required.
• Develops a therapeutic relationship with assigned residents.
• Encourages resident's independent behavior.
• Serves as a role member for the residents.
• Assess resident's physical needs and emotional needs.
• Collaborates with the treatment team in completing the discharge plans for patients.
