Job descriptionGraduate from an ACGME accredited residency program. Board Eligible / Board Certification required. 2-3 years of experience preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply. Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a Washington State license before start. Skagit Valley Hospital is a licensed 137-bed facility with a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital features a full range of services including the latest surgery techniques, including multiple surgical robots; renal dialysis; a well-appointed Family Birth Center; compressive diagnostic imaging and an advanced heart and vascular institute with the only cardiac catheterization labs in the area. Our new, state of the art surgery center opened in December 2023, which has offered additional clinic space, outpatient ORs and additional endoscopy suites. Skagit Regional Health has a new opening for a Family Medicine physician to join our newest primary care clinic in Mount Vernon. Highlights
- Work with a cohesive team of new and experienced physicians and APPs at our newest clinic in Mount Vernon, Washington. Our building has lab and imaging departments located on site.
- Enjoy a Monday-Friday outpatient only schedule, with some extended hours that may be required. Opportunity to work a 4-day work week.
- Our providers see a good mix of chronic and acute patients across the lifespan. Basic in office procedures performed in clinic, based on provider comfort level and preference.
- Light phone call rotation of roughly 1 : 16 of clinic phone call only. Our acute care hospitals are staffed with Hospitalists to handle any inpatient coverage.
- This is a hospital employed position with access to a large, existing in house specialty care referral base.
- Teaching opportunities exist with Medical Students from PNWU and Family Medicine Residents from our own SRH Residency Program.
- Integrated EPIC EMR platform utilized system-wide throughout the organization with newly implemented ambient AI technology (Abridge) available!
