Body Hardware Lab Technician SBU - Now Hiring!

The Body Hardware Lab Technician is responsible for the design and fabrication of test fixtures to conduct vehicle body closures and structures testing including hood, side door, liftgate, swing gate. The Technician will conduct fatigue and ultimate testing, monitor tests at regular intervals and adjust tests parameters including, controller, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical fixturing. The Body Hardware Lab Technician will also be responsible for :

• Build up and teardown of closures and structures tests.
• Build front and rear cradle modules.
• Wheel / tire assemblies.
• Logging, reporting, and working with test engineers and customers at each phase of the test.
• Support general operations of the test lab.
