Operational Energy Engineer (Future Weapons Systems)

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to provide critical support within the Navys Operational Energy Office . This group works toextend the operational reach of both current and future weapons systems through both R&D and an advanced understanding of effective uses of energy. This position is located at the Pentagon in Washington DC and is 100% onsite.

We are looking for a candidate that offers a hybrid mix of skills between Engineering and Program Management which will prove helpful when you are

• Evaluating R&D proposals from a technical perspective in order to make solid recommendations on funding.
• Reviewing Department of the Navy energy strategies used to identify gaps or obstructions that may prevent achievement of energy goals.
• Assessing Technical Readiness levels from low tech up to development / prototyping and beyond.
• Tracking and aiding in the transition of 6.3 and 6.4 level technology.
