Job Title : Operating Room (OR) Charge Nurse – Multi-specialty

Job Summary :
The OR Charge Nurse is a key leadership role within the surgical team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the operating room. This position ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. The Charge Nurse coordinates staffing, manages surgical case flow, facilitates communication among team members, and serves as a clinical resource to support nursing and surgical staff. With specialized knowledge in surgery, this nurse plays a critical role in maintaining a sterile environment, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and fostering a collaborative, patient-centered atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day workflow in the OR.
Ensure safe and efficient perioperative care for patients undergoing procedures (e.g., Spine, GI, Ortho, Gynecology).
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to manage and optimize daily surgical schedules.
Uphold hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and perioperative best practices.
Act as the primary point of contact between OR staff and leadership during assigned shifts.
