Description : Job Summary :
The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for warmly welcoming patients, managing scheduling and administrative tasks, and supporting the clinical and administrative teams in ensuring a seamless patient journey.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet patients with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Answer phone calls, texts, and emails promptly and professionally
- Schedule and confirm appointments using [practice management software – e.g., Dolphin, Ortho2, Cloud9]
- Maintain and update patient records accurately
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes
- Collect and process co-pays and payments
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office area
- Assist with insurance verification and claims when needed
- Support marketing and patient engagement efforts (referrals, reviews, contests, etc.)
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (required)1+ year of front desk or customer service experience (dental / orthodontic preferred)Familiarity with orthodontic terminology and insurance processes is a plusStrong communication and organizational skillsProfessional appearance and positive attitudeAbility to multitask and remain calm under pressureProficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management softwarePreferred Soft Skills :
