Oxford Nursing Home -

Oxford Nursing Home is seeking a Customer Service/Recreation Aide. This position will entail working closely with residents and family members to assist with any needs or concerns and make Oxford Nursing Home a great place to be!

Support Certified Nursing Assistants, Recreation in providing assistance with meals, activities of daily living, recreation programs, diversional activities to individuals with diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, dementia, other cognitive impairments and behaviors. Maintain safety, encourage independence and help meet care plan goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Working directly with residents and families with any concerns or complaints
  • Interviewing residents and families to ensure satisfaction
  • Problem solving any of the concerns
  • Keeping a written and electronic file of any concerns
  • Creating follow ups and resolutions
  • Following up with resolutions for all concerns
  • Professional and timely manner in each task
  • Creating a positive atmosphere within designated facilities
Requirements:
  • A motivated, friendly, and customer service driven person
  • No licensure required
  • Must be comfortable in a Long-Term Care setting
  • Preferred healthcare background

Preferences:

  • Bilingual/Spanish Speaking
  • Musical Skills
  • Some experience working with elderly or individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities.
  • Be able to adapt to changes in environment.
  • Willing to work with a team.
  • Regularly required to speak clearly, provide physical care to clients which may include pushing wheelchairs, recliners.
  • Be able to divert challenging behaviors.
