Shifts :
1st Shift : Monday – Friday; 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM
2nd Shift : Monday – Friday; 3 : 30 PM to 11 : 30 PM
3rd Shift : Sunday Night - Thursday Night; 11 : 30 PM to 7 : 30 AM
- Will be required to train on 1st Shift after moving to an off shift

Position Overview :
The High Pressure Boiler Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers and associated utility systems that support production processes within the facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the plant’s powerhouse systems. The operator monitors equipment, conducts preventive maintenance, responds to alarms, and performs water chemistry analysis while complying with state and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Boiler and Utility Operation : Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers, feedwater pumps, air compressors, and related equipment. Maintain steam pressure and flow in support of production operations. Conduct equipment startups, shutdowns, and load adjustments in response to production demand. Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues or abnormal operating conditions.System Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Read and interpret gauges, meters, control panels, and SCADA / HMI systems. Respond to alarms, perform diagnostics, and take corrective actions to maintain system integrity. Monitor water softening, condensate return, and de-aeration systems. Record operational data and maintain accurate shift logs.Water Treatment & Testing : Conduct regular boiler water testing and adjust chemical feed systems accordingly. Monitor water quality for scale, corrosion, and proper pH levels. Ensure compliance with water treatment protocols and environmental regulations.Maintenance & Safety : Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on boilers, valves, piping, and support equipment. Report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions to Maintenance leadership. Maintain compliance with OSHA safety regulations, lockout / tagout procedures, and PPE requirements. Support emergency response and incident reporting related to powerhouse systems.Shift Leadership & Coordination : Serve as the primary point of contact for powerhouse operations on 2nd shift. Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and supervisory personnel. Ensure accurate pass-down of information between shifts via logbooks and verbal updates. Support training of new operators as needed.Communication & Facilitation : Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions effectively to a diverse workforce. Support supervisors and leads in delivering day-to-day, on-the-job training. Collaborate across the organization to ensure consistency in training messaging and delivery.Qualifications :
Valid Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License (Required).3–5 years of experience operating high-pressure boilers in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Experience with steam distribution systems, water treatment, and compressed air systems.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks during off-hoursStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Familiarity with OSHA, ADA, and workers’ compensation laws.Working Conditions :
