About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Experience : Minimum of 1 year required

License : CRT or RRT

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP

Must-Have : Skills in trachs, vents, BiPAP, heated high flow nasal cannula, ABGs, CPT, and EKGs.

Helpful skills include placing arterial lines and performing pulmonary function tests.

Description :

This is a small community hospital with 64 licensed beds.

The average daily census is 35-40 patients.

The hospital transfers patients to a larger facility for specialized services.

Patient types include ICU, medical, inpatient, obstetrics, and emergency room.

The RT department has a patient ratio of 1 : 1.

Adequate personal protective equipment is provided for staff.

Charting systems include EPIC and Pyxis.

Staff may float throughout the facility as needed.

Weekend rotation occurs every third weekend.

Time off can be approved up to one week.

Holiday expectations include working every third weekend.

No call is required.

Scrub color is flexible.
