PICU RN Job Details Location : Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas nursing jobs) Facility : Level II Trauma Center, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Unit Size : 15 beds Patient Ratio : 2 : 1 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,470 - $1,570 per week PICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent PICU nursing experience Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a teaching hospital CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience and APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology / Oncology Nurses) certification preferred Proficient in IV starts, blood draws, and TPT (Temporary Peritoneal Dialysis) placement Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus PICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients Monitor, assess, and respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions Perform clinical procedures including IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placement Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, desk techs, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members Utilize CR monitoring equipment and participate in CRRT as needed Accurately document patient care and interventions in Meditech EMR Foster a positive, educational environment within the teaching hospital setting Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and make a difference as a travel PICU RN in Wichita, Kansas!
