We offer sports programs for boys and girls ages 3-14 in today’s most popular sports like flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball and t-ball.
About the Job We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Soccer Instructor & Official to join our team and play a pivotal role in the development of young soccer players. As a Youth Soccer Instructor & Official, you will be responsible for teaching fundamental soccer skills, officiating games & facilitating practices, and ensuring a fun and educational experience for our participants.
Instructor / Official Shifts are weekends only with shifts available on Saturday and / or Sunday. Our venues are located across Reston, Fairfax, Vienna, and Annandale / Falls Church.
Fall Soccer Schedule : Weekends Only - Saturday & Sunday Options Sept 7th to Oct 27th - Fall League Key Responsibilities :
- Instruction and Skill Development : Teach young athletes the fundamental skills and techniques of soccer, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending.Implement age-appropriate drills and exercises to enhance players' soccer abilities (Practice plans created and provided by i9 Sports).Provide constructive feedback to help players improve their performance.Complete mandatory pre season training sessions (Financially Compensated)
- Game Officiating : Serve as an official for youth soccer matches, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules.Maintain a professional and unbiased demeanor while officiating games.Address rule violations and conflicts with fairness and diplomacy.
- Safety and Supervision : Ensure the safety of all participants during practices & games.Supervise and manage groups of young athletes, maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.Address any safety concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Communication : Maintain open and effective communication with parents, participants, and fellow staff members.Provide updates on program activities via Connecteam.Address questions, concerns, and feedback from parents and participants professionally.
Qualifications :
Previous experience coaching or playing soccer.Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and parents.A passion for youth sports and the development of young athletes.Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.Availability to work each weekend of the given season (Late Fall, Winter, Spring, etc.)Ability to efficiently solve problemsAbility to motivate and manage others ( coaches)Extremely reliable and responsibleMust be 16 years of age or olderMust have own vehicle / reliable transportationMust be able to pass background checkBenefits :
