IT Specialist
The City of College Park is seeking a diligent, responsible individual passionate about technology to join our IT Department. The ideal candidate will perform various routine IT duties, including technical support, project management, system maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Some duties include :
- Respond to Help-Desk inquiries, create / track trouble tickets, and document solutions
- Provide support for local and remote staff, including employee onboarding and offboarding, connectivity issues, on-premises and cloud application support, malware removal, and other related tasks.
- Configure, install, update, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, cellphones, other handheld devices, printers, and on-prem and cloud applications.
Required Qualifications :
Three (3) years of experience working in IT.Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or comparable certifications coupled with experience.Experience supporting Windows 11, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Active Directory, and MS Office Suite.Experience working with Help-Desk software (SolarWinds preferred)Experience supporting Cisco Meraki and Webex platforms.Good Understanding of various protocols such as TCP, IP, FTP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, VoIP, and TLS.Experience supporting VMware ESXi, Intune, and MDE environments - preferred.Experience with Cablecast and Granicus systems - preferred.Good understanding of BDR, networking, and security best practices.This is a full-time, exempt position. The hours worked will typically be Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 A.M. - 5 : 30 P.M., with occasional extended hours. The starting salary for the position is $74,318- $80,032, depending on qualifications.
