We are excited to open a brand new store at the Tanger Outlets in Sevierville Tennessee early November! We will be hiring many new positions for this team and will start interviews in early September.
Summary
The Leader in Training (LIT) and Floor Leader position's primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement : "To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests." The LIT and Floor Leader perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by store management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities). Works directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates and provide leadership.

Sales Generation and Guest Service
- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service to each Guest
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs
- Anticipate and fulfill Guest's needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience
- Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education, sharing knowledge with the Team
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
- Remain consistent on personal sales and help teammates improve through the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG)
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management
- Provide legendary service across Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and the register area
- Know exchange and return procedures and turn them into a showmanship opportunity
- Fill out and use the SPG daily to accomplish goals
- Meet or exceed Buckle business builders and guest loyalty metrics (fit appointments, Buckle credit card, guest connect)
- Explore ways to expand Guest selection through tools like Inventory Manager and iPad apps
- Build and maintain guest relationships to develop a client-based business
- Lead by example with showmanship, customer service, and attentiveness
- Recognize and communicate Guest Levels with the Team
- Ask business-driven and showmanship questions to Manager, Team Leaders and Teammates
- Be coachable and open to feedback; perform leadership actions consistently
