Team Leader
Communicate standards of excellence in the daily work assignments of the assigned team in order to meet safe production as outlined by management. Standards should be communicated through stated goals, daily interaction, team meetings, providing input on employee performance evaluations, and recommending disciplinary actions.
Responsibilities include :
- Perform standard office duties, plant duties, and operate mobile equipment
- Establish and maintain effective communications within all areas of the operation
- Make regular inspections for safety, housekeeping, and mechanical issues in all areas of the operation
- Implement and apply all safety rules, regulations, and procedures of mine and property as set forth by federal, state, local agencies & policies
- Work closely with the Sr. Team Coordinator and Production Supervisor to ensure implementation of scheduled maintenance on all equipment
- Perform annual performance evaluations on team members
- Participate in the plant safety committee
- Assist Plant Manager, Production Supervisor, and Sr. Team Coordinator in developing mining plans, profit plans, AFE'S, and monthly forecast
- Demonstrate a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level toward teammates, peers, and customers
- Complete daily production, safety, and maintenance reports accurately
- Responsible for maintaining quality of all products
- Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards as established
- Assist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed
- Other duties as requested
Minimum Education and Experience :
Minimum 3 to 5 years+ experience, preferably in the aggregates industryHigh School Diploma or GED preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Effective coordination and communication skills (written and verbal)Understand team-based managementSelf-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervisionMust be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English languageStrong mechanical knowledgeAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel long distances by car or other commercial means, overnight at timesMust be able to work irregular shifts and weekends as requiredPhysical Requirements :
Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner.
