SUMMARY
We have an immediate need for a Safety Coordinator / Trainer with a high knowledge of safety procedures and warehousing techniques, who is OSHA Certified. This position is for second shift 3pm-12am.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program
- Be a trusted safety partner of both managers, supervisors, and floor-level employees
- Provide training to new hires and enable effective operation of the established safety systems
- Initiate, document, and monitor corrective actions to adherence to safety programs
- Gather information and generate required and / or requested reports
- Work with employees to resolve safety issues and improve working techniques
- Build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers
- Solve a range of straightforward problems; analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
- Identify and implement areas for improvement on a project to project basis
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees throughout the warehouse(s)
- Ability to train others effectively on various safety and operational topics

0SHA 10 Trainer Course for General Industry RequiredVocational Safety Accreditation Required; Associate's Degree Preferred3 Years OSHA experience RequiredMust have minimum 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environmentMust be bilingual (English and Spanish)Must be flexible, open-minded and able to operate in a fast-paced environmentMust be highly reliableExperience in the operation of and training others in use of Powered Industrial Vehicles such as order pickers, reach trucks, sit / stand up forklifts, swing reachFamiliarity with quality management methodology and its application in warehouse management
