Job Summary :

The Patient Services Representative (PSR I) represents the face of the organization to patients visiting for diagnostic testing and health services. This position is responsible for performing quality blood draws , ensuring accurate specimen preparation for laboratory testing, and providing excellent patient care. The PSR I builds trust and confidence with patients while maintaining strict adherence to safety, confidentiality, and process excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform all phlebotomy and specimen collection duties with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism.

Provide exceptional customer service , ensuring patients are comfortable and informed throughout the collection process.

Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment at all times.

Accurately label, process, and document specimens in compliance with established procedures.

Follow all company and laboratory quality control policies and standards .

Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collections , adhering to established protocols.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors while upholding organizational values and patient confidentiality .

Support operational coverage by being flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime shifts.

Maintain accurate records and reports, contributing to overall laboratory efficiency.

Required Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred).

Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington; preferred in other states.

Proficiency with data entry and keyboarding systems .

Excellent phlebotomy skills with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications :

Medical assistant or paramedic training .

Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare setting .

Familiarity with laboratory information systems and basic computer software.

Venipuncture and specimen processing

Data accuracy and documentation

Patient care and confidentiality

Preferred Skills :

Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy

Customer interaction and patient reassurance

Laboratory safety and compliance

Commitment to organizational and safety standards

Work Schedule :

Shift : 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM

Days : Monday–Friday (weekends or overtime as required)
