Our client, a leader in precision manufacturing for the aerospace industry, is seeking a Quality Engineer with strong recent CMM programming experience to join their team in Windsor, CT.   • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and edit CMM programs using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS for machined components.

    Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to define inspection strategies.

    Determine appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setups for accurate and repeatable measurements.

    Review and verify inspection and testing results to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

    Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and gage R&R to validate measurement integrity.

    Create and maintain quality documentation (Control Plans, FAI, PPAP) per customer requirements.

    Ensure all processes and documentation align with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, machining, and quality personnel.

    Support supplier quality and process improvement initiatives.

  • Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience
  • (PC-DMIS or MCOSMOS required).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.
  • Experience in aerospace or precision machining environments strongly preferred.

    Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.

    Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC).

    Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Education & Experience
  • Associate degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s preferred).

    5+ years of relevant quality engineering experience in manufacturing.

    Prior experience in Supplier Quality or PPAP deployment is a plus.
