The Mechanical HVAC CAD Technician is responsible for preparing detailed HVAC system drawings and layouts using CAD software in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and applicable codes. This role supports engineers and project managers in the design, coordination, and documentation of mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

Requirements :

• Create, modify, and maintain mechanical and HVAC drawings using AutoCAD and / or Revit.
• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D models of ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts based on design sketches, verbal instructions, and markups.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines (electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural).
• Ensure all drawings and designs comply with company CAD standards, mechanical codes, and project requirements.
• Maintain drawing files, document revisions, and ensure proper version control.
• Support engineers and project managers by providing technical drafting expertise and assisting in design development.
• Review and redline drawings for accuracy and completeness prior to submittal.
• Assist in creating and updating equipment schedules, details, and as-built documentation.
• Participate in design coordination meetings as needed.
• Stay current with CAD software updates and industry best practices
• Familiar with Revvit and Bluebeam.
