• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to post-surgical patients in the PACU unit.\n
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, consciousness, and overall recovery from anesthesia.\n
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxygen therapy as necessary.\n
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient recovery.\n
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and potential complications.\n
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations, including adverse reactions to anesthesia or post-operative complications.\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and nursing interventions.\n\nCandidate requirements\n
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program - Required.\n
• Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License - Required upon hire.\n
• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) - Required upon hire.\n
• National Provider ACLS (American Heart Association) - Required upon hire.\n
• National Provider PALS (American Heart Association) - Required within 90 days of hire.\n
