Position Summary :

The Vice President of Sales for the East will be responsible for leading and driving sales performance across Vacation Village’s East Coast sales centers, ensuring alignment with company goals, revenue targets, and strategic growth initiatives. This role requires a highly strategic and results-driven leader with a deep understanding of the vacation ownership industry, expertise in sales operations, and a proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that maximize revenue, team performance, and customer satisfaction.

The VP of Sales will work closely with executive leadership, sales directors, marketing teams, and resort operations to drive productivity, optimize conversion rates, and enhance the overall sales experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Lead, manage, and oversee the sales teams and operations across multiple sales centers in the Eastern region.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue, VPG (Volume Per Guest), and closing rate targets.
  • Ensure a high-performance sales culture by implementing coaching, training, and performance management programs for sales directors and frontline sales teams.
  • Partner with the marketing team to optimize lead generation, tour flow, and sales presentation effectiveness.
  • Monitor key sales metrics, analyze performance data, and implement strategies to maximize results.
  • Drive new initiatives and innovation in sales presentation techniques, incentive programs, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Work closely with the SVP of Sales to provide insights, forecasting, and strategic recommendations for continued growth.
  • Hire, develop, and retain top sales talent, fostering leadership and succession planning within the organization.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning for the Eastern sales division, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with resort operations and guest services to create seamless experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical sales practices, and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience in the vacation ownership / timeshare industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales performance and revenue growth across multiple locations.
  • Strong understanding of timeshare sales processes, VPG, closing techniques, and sales compliance.
  • Expertise in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, lead generation tools, and data analytics platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Work Environment & Travel :

  • This position requires regular travel across the Eastern region to visit sales centers, conduct training, and oversee operations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.

  • As a high-visibility leadership position, the VP of Sales must present a professional, polished appearance and adhere to Vacation Village by Vacatia’s Standards of Appearance.
