Job description

General Laborer

Aerotek's client is looking for a General Laborer to join their team in the Crofton, MD area. The role involves lifting 40-60 pound bags of concrete into mixing machines and assisting in the production of concrete bricks. Candidates will be required to unload shipments, maintain cleanliness, and support the production team as needed. Additionally, performing routine maintenance such as recharging batteries, lubricating, fueling, and cleaning is part of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Lift 40-60 pound bags of concrete into mixing machines.
  • Assist in the production of concrete bricks.
  • Unload shipments and keep the area clean.
  • Support the production team with various tasks as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including recharging batteries, lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Comfortable lifting 40-60 pounds daily.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours, including Saturdays.
  • Possess own method of transportation.

  • Experience in warehouse, labor, general labor, and production environments.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and concrete production.

    • Work Environment

  • The work environment is a loud, dusty, and non-temperature controlled warehouse.
  • Expect to work in a heavy industrial setting with production machinery.
  • Flexibility to work 60 hours per week, 10-hour days, and on Saturdays is required.

    • The pay range for this position is $20.00 / hr.
