This role involves providing general surgery night coverage as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New Jersey. The assignment requires handling a patient load of approximately 40 and performing specific procedures such as VAC dressings and JP drain management. Ideal candidates will be local providers with necessary licenses and a commitment to service excellence.

General Surgery NP / PA Locums Job in New Jersey ASAP and Ongoing Assignment

Coverage Needed :

  • Need General Surgery and Surgical subspecialty APP night coverage - inpatient
  • ASAP and ongoing, estimated 10-12 months of coverage
  • Shift Hours : 7pm - 8am

Assignment Details / Requirements :

  • Two APPs on a night.
  • No call
  • Prefer local providers
  • Licenses required : DEA / CDS, New Jersey license
  • Will look into emergency / temp privileges
  • No surgical first assist in the OR
  • First assist is not needed
  • Patient load closer to 40 with 2 PA's on heavy census / OR active days
  • Procedures : VAC dressings, JP drain management. Not required but preferred : chest tube placement.
  • No endoscopy, laparoscopy or vascular is required and this is not for trauma surgery.
