\n\nJob Description\n

The Cardiac Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, with a focus on those with cardiac conditions. This includes conducting health assessments, developing individualized care plans, and coordinating treatment in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The nurse will also manage telemetry monitoring and respond to emergent situations as they arise.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Collect health history from patients, families, and previous medical records.

    • \n

  • Perform admission assessments and complete the Braden scale.

    • \n

  • Create and update individualized care plans based on patient needs.

    • \n

  • Document patient responses to care and maintain compliance with clinical policies.

    • \n

  • Provide education to patients and families about care and discharge planning.

    • \n

  • Monitor telemetry and manage patients on intravenous cardiac medications.

    • \n

  • Interpret telemetry strips and communicate findings to physicians.

    • \n

  • Initiate chest pain protocols as appropriate.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Current NJ Registered Nurse License.

    • \n

  • BLS and ACLS certifications.

    • \n

  • NIHSS certification preferred.

    • \n

  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred.

    • \n

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
