Purpose :
The Inventory and Subscription Manager is a leader with the ability to assess the needs of the publishing inventory for the ASHRAE organization. The individual has a clear understanding of inventory processes for complimentary and paid print, digital, online, subscription, and third-party inventory products. The manager will create, document, and ensure that execution of inventory processes for creating or modifying inventory records, ordering products, life of inventory, reorder inventory points, fulfillment, and distribution processes functions correctly within ASHRAE and externally with partners, our warehouse and fulfillment, and ASHRAE Bookstore vendors. The manager will provide a high degree of customer satisfaction by providing inventory from our inventory partners and vendors to our members and customers.
Required Qualifications :
The minimum requirements for this position are : 5 years of inventory experience focusing on inventory management, reporting and analysis, sales, and fulfilment. 1-year experience in customer service, working in a related capacity. Experience should include customer service; problem solving; understanding of complimentary, print, digital, and subscription ordering and fulfillment methods for publishing inventory products; administration of inventory management processes for the procurement of reprint and new inventory products; ability to create meticulously accurate and complete reports and records; understanding of how cost of goods sold relates to account receivable, payables and financial budgets; proficiency in MS Word and Excel and other standardized database software systems. Must be highly organized and pay close attention to details. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for building effective two-way communication with customers, business partners, and vendors. Must work well in a team-based environment.
