Unit : Ortho Spine 616 (Med / Surg / Ortho Spine)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 7PM – 7AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Number of Beds : 34

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

EMR System : Meditech

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,360 - $1,460 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state (Registered Nurse jobs in Kansas)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

Experience with orthopedic and spine patients preferred

Knowledge of traction, spine, hip, and joint precautions is a plus

BLS certification required

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to Ortho Spine patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications

Assist with total joint and spine procedures; implement traction protocols

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and rehabilitation

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and unit guidelines
